The quote
checklist.
Send the same inputs to every provider: orders per month, SKU count, units per order, product dimensions and weights, stock volume, delivery destinations, return rate and sales channels. This checklist is general guidance, not a fee estimate.
01 / Minimums and commitment
- Is there an order minimum, invoice minimum or both?
- Which charges count toward the monthly minimum?
- Does an introductory waiver expire? When?
- What notice, cancellation, exit and inventory-release fees apply?
02 / Every line item
- Receiving: hourly, per pallet or per unit?
- Storage: bins, pallets, cubic feet and peak surcharges?
- Pick and pack: first unit, additional units, packaging and inserts?
- Shipping: carrier rate, fuel, residential, oversized and remote-area fees?
- Returns: inspection, repackaging, restocking, disposal and return postage?
- Technology, account-management, setup and integration fees?
03 / Operational fit
- Are my products allowed at the specific warehouse?
- How are damaged inventory, mispicks and late shipments handled?
- What is the peak-volume plan and order cutoff?
- Who is my contact, and what are the response commitments?
Ask for a written quote and example invoice at both your current volume and a realistic growth scenario. Do not compare pick-and-pack rates alone.
